Session description:
Day 1 offered Communities of Practice (CoPs) a full, hands‑on introduction to three major Earth observation platforms and initiatives. The sessions were meant to help attendees explore available tools, data, and knowledge‑exchange channels that support EO applications in South Africa, supported by presentations from experts representing the GEO Secretariat, FAO, GEOGLAM, and Digital Earth Africa.
