This dataset contains a five-year time series of wind measurements obtained from four meteorological stations in Rwanda: Ngarama, Rutsiro, Ntaruka, and Sebeya. However, the Ntaruka station recorded wind speed data only in January to April, with zero wind speeds reported for most other months, resulting in very limited representation in the dataset. The dataset covers the period from 2014 to 2018 and was provided by the Rwanda Meteorology Agency (RMA). Wind speeds were recorded at ten-minute intervals using calibrated anemometers installed at a height of 10 meters above ground level. The data include daily averages, providing a continuous record suitable for wind resource assessment and energy potential estimation. Among the recorded years, 2018 contained the most complete dataset, while data from earlier years contained intermittent gaps. This dataset serves as the basis for statistical analysis, including wind speed distribution modeling, estimation of Weibull parameters, and evaluation of wind power density at each site.
