A major gap existed in Hadza language documentation when the Hadza-speaking people northwest of Lake Eyasi were not included. This talk, structured as a research report, 1) introduces the Hadza-speaking community northwest of Lake Eyasi, 2) describes how they undertook commuinity-led language documentation during the years 2023-2024 (as well as associated work in 2024-2025), and 3) lists outcomes from the project. Reflection is made on the significance of the work, as well as next steps.
Note: This talk has not gone through a process of peer review, and findings should therefore be treated as preliminary and subject to change. Acknowledgement and citation: Harvey, Andrew. 2025.
