A Scoping Review of Structural and Functional Dimensions of Disaster Preparedness in African Hospitals, including Barriers and Enablers

The purposes of this project is to review current evidence on disaster preparedness and identify barriers and enablers to disaster preparedness of public and private hospitals in African countries. The expected outcome is to understand the breadth and scope of the literature, identify current knowledge, and highlight existing evidence gaps regarding the preparedness of African hospitals in responding to disasters. This review will contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the current evidence on hospital disaster preparedness and provide a foundation for guiding future research and strengthening disaster preparedness efforts in African countries.
