New data allow for a first comprehensive description of Ngundi, an as yet undescribed Mundu-Baka languages. This linguistic sketch provides information on the phoneme inventory, syllable structure, and tone as well as an outline of basic morphological and morphosyntactic features of the nominal and verbal domains. Moreover, to address questions of genealogical affiliation, the sketch offers a comparative view of Ngundi, taking into account its two closest relatives, Baka and Limassa.
