This volume brings together interdisciplinary research that addresses critical issues at the intersection of agriculture, ecology, environmental quality, and public health. The chapters collectively highlight practical and scientific approaches aimed at promoting sustainability, biological safety, and effective pest and vector management. The first chapter explores strategies for reducing post-harvest losses through the botanical control of the Angoumois grain moth in rice. By emphasizing plant-derived pest control methods, it contributes to sustainable agricultural practices that enhance food security while minimizing environmental impact. The second and third chapters extend the discussion to aquatic ecology and environmental health. The study of Nereididae (Polychaeta) from Indonesian coastal waters examines their biological traits, ecological roles, and culture potential, while the microbiological air quality assessment of laboratories at the Federal University, Wukari, underscores the importance of environmental monitoring in maintaining safe research and learning environments. The final chapter focuses on vector control, evaluating the time- and dose-dependent larvicidal efficacy of a novel imine-based compound against Culex quinquefasciatus using probit-based toxicological analysis.
