This study presents the design and development of an Affordable Tutor–Student Matching Platform aimed at improving how students and parents in Rwanda find reliable, verified, and affordable tutoring services. The platform addresses challenges associated with informal tutor searching, including difficulty verifying qualifications, comparing prices, managing schedules, and establishing trust. It provides user registration and profile management, tutor discovery and filtering, booking and scheduling, communication, tutor verification, reviews and ratings, payments, dispute management, courses, and administrative monitoring. The system was developed using Python, Django, Django REST Framework, JavaScript, React, Vite, SQLite, and MySQL/MariaDB. The project demonstrates how a centralized digital platform can improve tutor–student matching, increase transparency and trust, and create income opportunities for qualified tutors in Rwanda.
