The AI-OPTIMUS project proposes an AI-driven system to optimize patient triage, monitoring, and follow-up for ALIMA’s OPTIMA program in Kaita LGA, Katsina State. Using local nutrition data and community feedback, the system applies predictive analytics to improve Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) case management. A mixed-method design will assess how AI enhances triage accuracy, relapse prediction, and community health worker efficiency. The study aims to reduce child mortality through data-guided, risk-based care. Findings will inform scalable AI integration into community malnutrition programs across Nigeria.
