Analysis code for "Trait- and Behavior-Weighted Activity Reflects Combined Livestock and Wild Large Herbivore Effects on Dryland Soil Carbon"

This repository contains the code and analysis scripts accompanying the manuscript "Trait- and Behavior-Weighted Activity Reflects Combined Livestock and Wild Large Herbivore Effects on Dryland Soil Carbon." The study examines relationships between large herbivore activity and soil carbon across a semi-arid rangeland in Botswana, integrating year-round camera-trap observations of 16 wild and domesticated large herbivore species with measurements of total, organic, and inorganic soil carbon across 75 sites. The archived code includes analyses evaluating how herbivore activity, functional traits, and activity type relate to soil carbon variation while accounting for key biophysical factors. This release represents the version of the code used for the analyses, results, and figures reported in the manuscript.
