This record contains the anonymised household-level analytical dataset and Python notebook supporting the article “Progress to 2030: Uganda’s off-grid electrification lessons for data-driven regulation across Sub-Saharan Africa.”
The household survey covered Bukedea, Mayuge, Nwoya and Yumbe districts in Uganda. The public analytical dataset contains 396 observations and 146 variables concerning electricity access, household characteristics, energy sources, acquisition and payment arrangements, system performance and user experience.
To protect participants, the public dataset excludes direct record identifiers, GPS coordinates, granular geographic information below district level, exact interview timestamps, validation metadata and open-text responses that could increase re-identification risk. The accompanying notebook reproduces the statistical analyses, tables and figures derived from the analytical dataset. A compressed package containing the dataset, notebook and supporting documentation is also provided.
