Anonymised item-level questionnaire dataset: Challenges of Algerian STEM researchers in English-medium scholarly publishing

Anonymised responses from 45 STEM researchers across Algerian universities (Google Forms, April–May 2026, administered in Arabic). Contains categorical background items (Part A), 31 Likert items across five sections (1 = strongly disagree to 5 = strongly agree; several items positively worded and reverse-scored in analysis), one multi-select reviewer-commentary item, and three open-ended items. Timestamps and the consent-confirmation column removed; respondents identified only as R01–R45. Supports the article "Challenges of Algerian STEM Researchers in English-Medium Scholarly Publishing" (Chergui & Boudinar). A README sheet documents the variables.
