This study assessed the primary school teachers’ redeployment policy of the Ondo State Government under Governor Olusegun Mimiko. Using a descriptive survey approach, the study investigated the extent to which the objectives of the policy were achieved, the strategies employed by the Ondo State Government for the policy, and assessed the effects of the policy on pupils’ education. The study used a multi stage sampling technique to choose 25 respondents that included redeployed teachers, Heads of schools, Nigeria Union of Teachers, Association of Primary School Heads of Nigeria, Non-Governmental Organization, Community Development Associations, Ministry of Education Officials, government officials, and Parents Teachers Association. The study covered Okitipupa, Ilaje, Owo, Akure South, Ondo West, and Akoko Southwest Local Government Areas that were affected by the policy. Findings revealed that the objectives of the policy were partially achieved, with challenges in infrastructure, stakeholders’ resistance, poor training and motivation. The study recommends provision of better incentives and regular training for teachers, and continuous stakeholders’ engagement to ensure effective policy implementation.   Received: 04 December 2025 /Accepted: 29 December 2025 /Published: January 2026
