Nature-based solutions (NbS) have become a vital focus in climate adaptation policy, finance, and practice. Grounded in evidence from the latest IPCC assessment, NbS actions can cool urban areas, reduce flood risk, improve water availability, and enhance agricultural productivity.

This video explores how NbS can be applied in African cities and urban informal settlements. Featuring insights from the Tuwe Pamoja project, it highlights practical examples of effective urban NbS. Learn why context-specific design and inclusive partnerships are essential to ensuring that these solutions equitably deliver social, environmental, and climate benefits.
