The book is divided into 14 chapters which describe Bamana syntax in increasing complexity. It uses direct language to define parts of speech (pronouns, adjectives, verbs, tense markers, locatives, etc) and sentence structure (phrases, conjunctions, compound sentences, etc.) and illustrates these definitions with numerous examples.
