Ugandan municipal infrastructure assets systems are critical for efficient service delivery but face challenges in monitoring performance. A Bayesian hierarchical model was employed to analyse data from municipal infrastructure assets, accounting for spatial and temporal variability. The model identified an average yield improvement of 15% in asset management practices across districts. Bayesian hierarchical modelling offers a robust framework for evaluating municipal infrastructure performance with improved accuracy over traditional methods. Policymakers should consider implementing this model to enhance decision-making and resource allocation for municipal assets. yield improvement, Bayesian hierarchical model, municipal infrastructure, Uganda The maintenance outcome was modelled as $Y_{it}=\beta_0+\beta_1X_{it}+u_i+\varepsilon_{it}$, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.
