The digital transformation of higher education has created an increasing demand for secure, reliable, and efficient systems for managing academic credentials. Traditional diploma management processes are often centralized and manual, which makes them vulnerable to document loss, fraud, and lengthy verification procedures. These limitations highlight the need for innovative technological solutions capable of ensuring the authenticity, accessibility, and integrity of academic records. This paper explores the integration of Blockchain technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support the digitalization and verification of academic diplomas at Chouaib Doukkali University in Morocco. The proposed approach leverages blockchain to provide a decentralized and tamper-resistant infrastructure for storing and managing diploma records. Through the use of smart contracts, the system enables secure diploma issuance, transparent record management, and instant verification of credentials. At the same time, AI techniques are incorporated to automate the extraction, analysis, and processing of diploma-related information from academic documents. This automation helps reduce administrative workload while improving the accuracy and efficiency of credential management processes. The proposed solution details a layered system architecture in which AI components handle document processing and data extraction at the application level, while blockchain infrastructure manages secure storage, smart contract execution, and credential verification at the decentralized layer. The platform is designed to support universities, graduates, and employers by offering secure access to verifiable academic credentials while maintaining data privacy and interoperability with institutional systems. The findings suggest that combining blockchain and AI can significantly improve the reliability, transparency, and efficiency of academic credential management. This research contributes to the advancement of digital certification systems and provides a practical foundation for the future adoption of secure digital diplomas in Moroccan higher education institutions.
