Blockchain technology has emerged as a transformative tool in enhancing supply chain transparency across various industries. In Nairobi's coffee export sector, blockchain can significantly improve traceability and accountability of coffee origins and movements. A quantitative survey approach was employed to gather data from 120 coffee exporters in Nairobi. The survey utilised structured questionnaires designed to measure perceptions and practices related to blockchain implementation within their operations. Findings indicate a positive trend towards greater transparency, with 75% of respondents reporting enhanced traceability capabilities post-blockchain integration. Specifically, the proportion of exporters who could track coffee shipments from harvest to retail increased by 40% over three years. The study concludes that blockchain technology has significantly improved supply chain transparency for Nairobi's coffee exporters, facilitating better accountability and efficiency in operations. Given the positive outcomes observed, it is recommended that government bodies and industry associations encourage wider adoption of blockchain technologies to further enhance supply chain visibility and sustainability.
