Characteristics of neurocysticercosis in eastern Africa

This dataset includes data from four cross-sectional studies on neurocysticercosis and epilepsy in three eastern African countries (Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda). Data include demographic, clinical and radiological characteristics of 1,005 people with epilepsy. This study was funded by DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft) within the research grant (WI 3427/1-1) “Neurocysticercosis in sub-Saharan Africa”, and by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (grant number: 1017886; title: “Integrated Control of Cysticercosis in sub-Saharan Africa”).
