This study sought to quantify and characterise circulating microparticles in people living with HIV (PLWH) in Malawi, and to correlate them with measures of cellular immune activation and arterial stiffness. We enrolled PLWH starting anti-retroviral therapy in an ART clinic in Malawi and carried out clinical assessments and blood tests for flow cytometry and microparticle characterisation.
