This study examines the influence of rainfall, temperature, and wind speed variability on latex production in Tiko Subdivision, Southwest Cameroon. Climatic data were obtained from the meteorological service, while latex production records were collected from the CDC Group Rubber Factory in Tiko. Additional information was gathered through field observations, interviews, published literature, and textbooks. The study employed the coefficient of variation to assess climatic variability trends over time and regression analysis to determine the relationship between climatic variables and latex output. Data were analyzed using SPSS through descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, while spatial analysis was conducted using QGIS and ArcGIS. Results indicate that climate variability significantly affects latex production. Increased rainfall was associated with reduced latex output, with a rainfall coefficient of variation of 0.24. Latex production declined notably in 2000 and 2004 due to excessive rainfall and strong wind events. Wind speed also had a substantial impact, particularly in 2004 when speeds reached approximately 50 mph, causing destruction of rubber trees and a reduction in production. Correlation analysis revealed significant relationships between latex yield and rainfall (0.61), temperature (0.42), and wind speed (0.43). The study concludes that climate factors, especially rainfall and wind, critically influence latex production and recommends climate-risk management strategies to enhance sustainable rubber production.
