This project will develop a localised AI Alignment and Governance framework designed for emerging economies, emphasising ethical deployment, societal alignment, and practical safety education. It bridges technical AI safety with policy and community engagement, ensuring that AI systems introduced into African contexts remain aligned with local human values, educational priorities, and sustainable development goals.
