This scoping review aims to map and describe the current state of geriatric and gerontological education and training in professional programs across Sub-Saharan Africa. It will examine the extent, content, and delivery methods of ageing-related training in fields such as medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, and other allied health professions. By identifying existing gaps, innovations, and barriers, the review seeks to inform curriculum development, guide policy, and support workforce preparedness to meet the needs of a growing ageing population in the region.
