Data-Driven Framework for Strategic Knowledge Management to Enhance Organizational Learning: A Pilot Study

We present a data-driven framework for enhancing organizational learning via strategic knowledge management (KM) that integrates big data analytics (BDA), data governance, and cultural enablers. The growing adoption of digital transformation helps address the gap between analytics capabilities and actionable learning in an organization. Our mixed-method design combines design science with empirical evaluation for the Dinstack Software in Delta State. The study utilizes data analyzed via descriptive and predictive processing. Our prototype is built using Kafka–Spark, which enables knowledge capture, reuse tracking, and recommendation generation. Results showed great improvements with a latency decrease by 0.5, knowledge reuse rise to 0.71, and innovation output increase by 0.5, respectively – affirming the need for analytics KM systems. Also, initial cultural resistance was found to be mitigated with training, governance, and incentive mechanisms, with results that are aligned with existing literature that analytics maturity enhances learning and innovation. The study contributes an integrative model linking data governance, analytics capability, and KM processes to measurable learning outcomes. Practically, it demonstrates how embedding governance and analytics into KM infrastructure promotes continuous feedback, trust, and agility in decision-making. Despite contextual limitations, the framework establishes a replicable blueprint for creating adaptive, data-driven learning ecosystems, particularly relevant for emerging digital enterprises in developing regions.
