Macrofaunal morphotaxa collected from cores samples assessed during open and closed phases (3-4 months apart) of the Swartvlei Estuary mouth, Western Cape, South Africa. For each phase, 16 core samples were collected from each of two stations located within subtidal Zostera capensis beds.
