The data covers the nexus between impact of the CBN's interventionist moves and the growth of its contribution to GDP growth.The results of the empirical analysis shows that the desired impact did not materialize and its mitigating effect on inflation was also not as desired.There is need for the Central Bank of Nigeria to reassess its policy on intervention in order to realign the disconnect that this study seems to have discovered.
