Data deposit for a reanalysis-driven GIS multi-criteria screening of wind resource, terrain and a population-based demand proxy across the 116,076 km2 Centre and South administrative polygons of Cameroon. Contents. Provider data as collected — ERA5 monthly single levels 1991–2023; NASA POWER daily point data for Kribi 1983–2023; NOAA ISD hourly records for six Cameroonian stations; geoBoundaries ADM0–ADM2; Copernicus DEM GLO-30; Hansen Global Forest Change v1.11; JRC Global Surface Water v1.4; ESA WorldCover v200; Meta HRSL v1.5 — together with the decoded and combined station record, the ERA5 hourly sample and CMIP6 series drawn from the public ARCO-ERA5 and Pangeo archives, and every archived numerical result, table, figure and suitability grid derived from them. Headline results. Polygon-masked wind power density ranges 6.3–56.5 W m-2 (bootstrap 95% CI 53.8–59.4 W m-2 at the domain-maximum cell, 4.125°N 11.225°E). 14.9% of the eligible area — 17,336 of 116,025 km2 — falls in the two highest relative-priority classes. A two-parameter Weibull fit is rejected by a Kolmogorov–Smirnov test at all six stations. Scope. This version is a data-only deposit: the analysis code, the manuscript and the accompanying documentation are not included, and remain in the source repository at github.com. It supersedes v10, which carried all of those. The underlying study is a screening exercise, not a bankable wind-resource assessment: no mast, no hub-height measurement, and a seeded N=1,500 stratified sample of the hourly reanalysis rather than the full record. Datasets that could not be obtained — the full hourly ERA5 record, Global Wind Atlas, WDPA protected areas and travel-time accessibility — are absent rather than substituted, and no value anywhere in the deposit is simulated or imputed. Verifying. checksums.sha256 covers all 284 files (sha256sum -c); manifest.csv gives each file’s size, SHA-256 and role; data/metadata/DATA_MANIFEST.csv records the provider, source URL, variables, units and download date of every dataset. Licensing is mixed and set out in LICENSE: CC BY 4.0 for the derived data, results and figures; upstream provider terms for everything under data/raw/, including the Licence to Use Copernicus Products for ERA5.
