This dataset contains quantitative survey data collected from STEM lecturers in public universities in Southwest Nigeria to examine patterns of collaborative tools utilisation for teaching and research. It captures the range of collaborative tools used, purposes of utilisation, frequency of use, duration of engagement, and challenges affecting effective adoption. The dataset supports empirical analysis of digital collaboration practices in higher education and provides evidence for policy formulation, capacity building, and technology integration strategies aimed at enhancing teaching and research productivity among university STEM lecturers.
