Dataset for: Platform Work: Evidence from Drivers in India, Indonesia, and Kenya

This dataset contains survey responses from the gig driver sample across three countries: India, Indonesia, and Kenya. The study was conducted by IDinsight between 2023 and 2024 and covers a wide range of topics including demographics, earnings, labor supply, financial inclusion, safety, and worker perceptions. The dataset contains 334 variables drawn from harmonized cross-country survey responses. It is intended to support research on gig economy labor markets, worker welfare, and platform work in low- and middle-income countries. This is a public-use version of a larger internal dataset. A number of variables have been withheld to protect the confidentiality of the platform and individual respondents.
