
This dataset accompanies the article "Sizing and optimization of a stand-alone photovoltaic system for refrigeration: a case study in Tizi-Ouzou, Algeria". It contains all files required to reproduce the analytical sizing and simulation validation presented in the paper. CONTENTS: - README.txt: Main instructions and citation information - README_PVsyst.txt: PVsyst simulation parameters (export not available in demo mode) - nasa_sse_tiziouzou_irradiation_data.csv: Monthly solar irradiation from NASA SSE (1990-2020, Table 1) - refrigerator_duty_cycle_june_2025.csv: 1-minute duty cycle data (June, 30 days) - homer_pro_tiziouzou_simulation_data.csv: Hourly HOMER Pro time-series (8760 hours) - pvsyst_parameters.csv: PVsyst system parameters for manual setup The optimal configuration obtained is 1.5 m² PV area and 34 Ah battery capacity. HOMER Pro and PVsyst validation shows <3% error.
