This repository contains the supplementary datasets for the study "Ice-Sheet Melting Deepens Food Insecurity in West Africa: Climate–Yield–Population Interactions Under RCP8.5 and Freshwater Forcing Scenarios", submitted to Environmental Research Letters in Climate.
It includes:
Country-level yield anomalies for maize, millet, and sorghum (2041–2070 vs. historical baseline)
Agro-climatic indicators (e.g., rainy season onset, CDD, R10mm, Tmax > 35°C, duration) under three climate scenarios (RCP8.5, GrIS1.5m, WAIS3m)
Aggregated data per crop, scenario, and country used for correlation analysis between climatic drivers and crop productivity
These outputs are derived from simulations using the IPSL-CM5A-LR model (CMIP5), bias-corrected with CDFt, and the SARRA-O crop model. The indicators were computed to better capture the agro-climatic constraints affecting yield responses beyond mean climate variables. This dataset supports figure production and reproducibility of the main analysis.
