Development of quality indicators for collaborative fracture management with traditional bonesetters in Tanzania: a modified Delphi study protocol

This study aims to achieve consensus on quality indicators that reflect quality of care within collaborative fracture management with traditional bonesetters through a modified Delphi process. A multidisciplinary panel of stakeholders, including patients, caregivers of paediatric patients, traditional bonesetters, hospital staff, and hospital administrators, will be engaged. A preliminary list of candidate quality indicators will be iteratively reviewed, discussed, refined, and expanded across multiple Delphi rounds and a consensus meeting. This process will identify the indicators that stakeholders consider most relevant for representing quality of care within this collaborative model. The study will result in a context-specific set of quality indicators that forms the foundation for subsequent phases of the implementation project.
