This dataset contains the qualitative textual and coded data supporting a study of discourse, identity, ideology, and indigenous philosophy in selected Fuji music of Saheed Osupa. The dataset comprises selected textual excerpts, English translations where applicable, coding categories, discursive strategies, ideological interpretations, and analytical notes informed by Norman Fairclough's three-dimensional model of Critical Discourse Analysis and Yoruba ethno-philosophy. The data were drawn from selected musical works, including Olaju De and songs from Tested and Trusted, and were analysed to examine how language constructs identity, negotiates power, communicates ideology, preserves indigenous knowledge, and engages contemporary socio-political realities.
