The Dispa-SET is an open-source unit commitment and optimal dispatch model focused on balancing and flexibility problems in European and African grids. Its pre- and post-processing tools are written in Python and the main solver can be called via GAMS optimization suite.

This guide is designed for the Dispa-SET v2.5 version of the model. The model is constantly evolving and there are other versions actively being developed. However, they are out of the scope of this guideline.
