This Data User Guide presents baseline/pre-intervention survey data collected in 2023 from a cluster randomized experiment evaluating the impact of drone delivery on medical supply chain logistics in rural Madagascar, with particular focus on contraceptive access, quality of care, and reproductive health outcomes. The experiment had two arms; 109 hard-to-reach public healthcare facilities across three regions of Madagascar (Alaotra Mangoro, Atsinanana, and Vatovavy Fitovinany) were randomly assigned to receive either drone delivery (n=55) or standard land-based delivery (n=54) of medical supplies. Prior to randomization, facilities were stratified by seven districts and by facility remoteness to ensure treatment balance. Each facility serves approximately 9,000 people on average.
