roventriculus forms the junction between the foregut and midgut anteriorly; the midgut can then be divided into anterior and mid/posterior sections, as in [29], with the bulk of digestion taking place in the latter section. The Malpighian tubules mark the junction of the posterior midgut and hindgut.
