This study aims to nuance the literature about effectiveness by demonstrating empirically what advantages there are with shifting the focus to performance. Our project will focus on what attributes individuals prefer in an ideal peacekeeper —who the peacekeepers are – and what forms of local interactions that garner community support towards the peacekeepers – what the peacekeepers do and how they perform their tasks.
