These files contain the relevant data for the power market model EGYMOSYS for Egypt used in "Between path dependencies and renewable energy potentials: A case study of the Egyptian power system" (Dallmann, Schmidt, Möst, 2021). It is based on the OSeMOSYS_2017_11_08 Version. The model_EGYMOSYS file contains all changes made, which are: revision of the object and cost functions to model over five year periods changes to storage equations suitable for CSP power plants introducing a cap for renewable technologies to reflect a more realistic energy transition removed all emission-related functions The data file contains data all data for the scenario: high demand; RE cap; low cost all existing power plants in Egypt 320 sites for respective renewable technology sites all existing high voltage connections between eight different sub-regions new potential conventional power plants (including CCGT, Diesel, Coal and Nuclear options) as well as possible new power lines For more information please contact: matthew.schmidt@tu-dresden.de
