In this session some miscellaneous lexemes and examples were recorded and the data on tones of compounds (see session AMB2012-08-03_001-006) was supplemented. The core of the session was concerned with tone on possessive phrases. All data was recorded from Ambaye Tsedeke. Ambaye was trained as a teacher and worked at different schools in the Basketo Special Woreda. At the time of the Baskeet documentation project he was one of the very free Baskeet native speakers who were fluent in English. In his freetime he worked as an assistant in the documentation project, carried out interviews, assisted in the transcription and translation and was a consultant in grammar and lexicon elicitation sessions. Yvonne Treis is a linguist and works on Ethiopian languages at CNRS in France.
