In the rapidly evolving landscape of education and employment, access to effective career exploration tools is essential for students to make informed decisions about their future pathways. This research project aims to address the critical gap in career exploration and employability experiences on e-learning platforms in South Africa. By leveraging data-driven personalisation techniques, the study seeks to enhance the effectiveness of career exploration tools and virtual internship opportunities available to South African students. The project employs quantitative survey. Data will be collected from diverse participants, including students. The study will utilise random sampling techniques to ensure the representativeness of the sample, with participants drawn from various educational institutions. Key objectives include assessing current career exploration practices, identifying challenges faced by students in accessing relevant career information, and evaluating the effectiveness of existing e-learning platform features. Through data analysis the research aims to develop personalised recommendations for enhancing career exploration tools and virtual internship experiences.
