Enhancing Stakeholder Integration for Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Development in Ethiopia

Description:The development of Ethiopia depends on urban infrastructure projects which include roads, water supply systems, sanitation facilities, electricity networks, and telecommunications networks. The implementation of these projects encounters multiple obstacles because stakeholders work separately from each other and the government lacks proper control and technical expertise which results in project delays, budget increases, and decreased sustainability. The research examines how better stakeholder collaboration between government entities, engineers, and contractors, and local communities will boost project performance and create sustainable outcomes. The research employs surveys and interviews and focus groups and case studies to create an operational framework which supports sustainable urban infrastructure development. The research results will direct policymakers and development partners and practitioners to enhance their collaboration and resource management and community participation in infrastructure projects.
