This study included extraction and estimation of oleuropein concentration in different types of olive leaves. It is the most important medicinal plants which is widely distributed in Libya and used in folklore medicine. The effect of different parameters (solvent, temperature, pH, extraction method and time) during and after extraction was studied. The obtained results showed that Chemlel and Corantina olive leaves have the highest oleuropein amount. In addition, the ideal conditions for extraction and maintaining the stability of the compound when using dioxane as a solvent were: 60% dioxane at 25°C and pH 3, and the soxhlet method is better than maceration.
