Using AI chatbots in African psychotherapy is becoming more popular for mental health support. However, it's important to be culturally sensitive and ethical when implementing these chatbots. This abstract discusses the ethical aspects of using AI chatbots for culturally sensitive mental health support in African psychotherapy. It emphasizes considering cultural differences, language diversity, privacy issues, and data security when creating and using AI chatbot interventions. By addressing these ethics properly, AI chatbots can improve access to mental healthcare while respecting different cultures and achieving positive outcomes in African communities.
