ETHIOPIAN SIGN LANGUAGE LEARNING PLATFORM USING DETECTION

The proposed project aims at developing an Ethiopian Sign Language (ESL) Learning Platform. The purpose of this platform is to facilitate the teaching and learning of ESL for both students and teachers, as well as to give the hearing-impaired community in Ethiopia a sense of identity and self-confidence. This platform will provide a comprehensive, interactive and user-friendly environment that includes lessons and activities to help users understand and master the language. Furthermore, the platform will include audio and text-based courses, as well as quizzes and games, to help users further enhance their skills and to make the learning process more engaging. ESL teachers can also use the platform to conduct classes and group activities.  The proposed platform will also enable direct communication between hearing-impaired and hearing users, by providing a chat function, which will allow for seamless communication and sharing of information between both communities. Additionally, the platform will serve as a repository for the Deaf community, where they can share stories, experiences and their culture, thus allowing them to express themselves and connect with other members of the community
