The Aka Pygmies, who live in Southern R.C.A. and Northern Congo, in the district of Bagandu, are coming more and more frequently and lastingly into contact with the Ngando peasants dwelling on the outskirts of the forest. Yet the Aka are still speaking a language of their own. Aka is a Bantu words in the vocabulary is well over 50 %. However Bantu ans non-Bantu words are unevenly distributed over the various lexical fields.
