The purpose of the scoping review is to identify evidence based intervention that effectively increase best practices in breastfeeding, young child nutrition, and antenatal care and maternal nutrition in sub Saharan Africa and southeast Asia. Sub Saharan African and southeast Asia have some of the highest levels of stunting - low linear growth for age - and obesity, also call the dual burden of malnutrition. Breastfeeding, young child nutrition, and antenatal care and maternal nutrition are referred to as the 'double-duty actions' as they can prevent both stunting and obesity. The scoping review thus examined the literature to identify effective strategies to improve preventive practices as a means of decreasing stunting and obesity.
