This abstract aims to examine the potential benefits and challenges of implementing chatbot interventions for individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Nigeria. PTSD is a significant mental health concern globally, including within Nigerian communities. The use of chatbots as a form of intervention offers unique opportunities for accessible and personalized support. This abstract analyzes the potential advantages of chatbot interventions, such as 24/7 availability, cost-effectiveness, privacy protection, and scalability. It also explores challenges related to cultural adaptation, language barriers, ethical considerations regarding data privacy, and limitations in technological infrastructure within Nigeria's healthcare system. By considering both the benefits and challenges, this examination provides insights into how chatbot interventions can be effectively implemented to enhance mental health support for individuals with PTSD in Nigeria.
