Fairness, violence, and election delay preferences

With this paper, we intend to study the extent to which expectations of electoral fairness and violence shape preferences for elections and election timing. To do so, we will leverage a recent survey experiment conducted in the context of South Sudan less than a year prior to the country’s first-ever national elections.
