This FAIRsharing record describes: AfricArXiv is a free community-led digital archive for African research that provides a platform for African scientists to upload their working papers, preprints, accepted manuscripts (post-prints), and published papers. AfricArXiv aims for the dissemination of African scholarly content: 1) to a global audience, and 2) allows for knowledge exchange between African scholars and non-African researchers of African studies and other disciplines by providing options to link data and code along with article versioning. AfricArxiv provides African scientists from all disciplines to share their research outputs, including preprints, postprints, code and data free of cost. The source of this description is the metadata record on FAIRsharing.org, an educational and informative resource that describes and links databases, standards, and data policies. FAIRsharing also creates collections of these resources and recommendations of databases and standards based on 3rd party data policies.
