This dataset was collected to produce the report _Fall Armyworm:\r\nImpacts and Implications for Africa, 2018_. The data was collected via household surveys conducted in Ghana, Zambia and Zimbabwe in 2018 using the Open Data Kit (ODK) data collection tool on tablets.\r\n\r\n###Data collected includes:###\r\n* Demographics of farming households\r\n* Fall armyworm field infestation levels \r\n* Maize area affected by fall armyworm\r\n* Effect on maize yield\r\n* Current control method including gender split, pesticides used and their cost and effectiveness \r\n\r\n\r\n####Further reports used producing this data include:####\r\n* Farmer perception of fall armyworm _(Spodoptera frugiderda J.E. Smith)_ and\r\nfarm-level management practices in Zambia (Kansiime et al., 2019)
