Financial inclusion has emerged as a critical catalyst for inclusive economic growth, particularly in developing economies where many rural residents remain underserved by formal financial systems. This study examines the impact of financial inclusion on the socioeconomic development of rural communities in Cross River State, Nigeria. Specifically, it investigates the relationship between financial inclusion and income generation, access to education, and access to healthcare among rural dwellers. A survey research design was adopted, targeting adults aged 18 years and above in selected rural communities of Ekpene Tete, Ikot Ene, and Ikot Oyom in Akpabuyo Local Government Area. A multistage sampling technique was employed to select 90 respondents, comprising farmers, traders, artisans, and micro-entrepreneurs. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-square statistical method. The findings reveal a significant relationship between financial inclusion and income generation, as well as a significant influence of financial inclusion on access to education and healthcare in the study area. Based on these findings, the study recommends strengthening agent banking and mobile money services, enhancing financial literacy through community-based platforms, and expanding education-focused microfinance schemes. It further advocates the introduction of mobile health financing products and health emergency microloans to enable rural households to better manage health-related shocks Keywords: Financial Inclusion, Rural Development, Access to Finance, Socioeconomic Growth, Cross River State
